FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If you’re not HEALTHY, in your mind, body, soul and GUT, it’s nearly impossible to FEEL GOOD and BE HAPPY—two of our greatest human desires. The ironic thing is, COOKING REAL, WHOLE, NOURISHING FOOD is a critical component of protecting our health so we can FEEL GOOD and HAPPY. Yet so many Americans are “too busy” and deem cooking as an unimportant, optional activity. Instead 70% of what most Americans eat today is processed “food” that often doesn’t even meet the definition of REAL FOOD, which must be NUTRITIOUS in nature. And only a measly 10% of Americans eat enough fruit and vegetables! SPOILER ALERT: It’s not our fault. Historical events led us down this path to processed food pastures, where it’s very hard to see the apples and lettuce through the endless rows of processed products. Let’s change this – starting at home, by learning to reframe healthful cooking as a critical part of self-care and family-care.
Can’t wait to cook together!
Have a delicious day,
Lindsay
Lindsey! Hi! It’s Terry Drendel, Matt’s mom. I would love to take your class, as I caught a huge salmon in Canada a few months back! But I’ll be on vacation! Gail Pfrommer gave me your cookbook for my birthday 2 years ago! Love it! I still make Christmas cookies, and now with my granddaughter and the little girls in the neighborhood! Love to you!
Terry
Hi Terry! Great to connect here 🙂 Hoping you’re going somewhere fabulous of vacation – I’m going to do classes monthly – eventually weekly I hope – so stay tuned. I still remember your incredible cookie classes – they are a bug part of what made me open a cookie co. in my early 20’s! Sending hugs your way and hi to Matt!
